TERMS AND POLICIES - updated 12/30/22
Tuition: Tuition for the entire month is due the first week of the month and is: $30 per 30 min lesson or $55 per 1 hour lesson.
Tuition is both for my service as your teacher, and to maintain the time slot that you have scheduled. You do not have to pay if you know you will be missing a lesson. I do however ask that you let me know well in advance if you are going to be missing a lesson. If you have already paid in advance for the month and have to miss a lesson, I will take $30 (30 min lesson) or $55 (1 hr lesson) off of your next tuition payment. If you know in advance you will be missing, you can subtract that amount from your monthly payment.
Starting time: If, for any reason, you are late, the lesson will end at the appointed time and I must be paid for the full scheduled lesson.
Discontinuing Lessons: I require at least 4 weeks notice if you decide to discontinue lessons. This will allow me to schedule students in that time slot.
Make up Lessons: I do not offer make up lessons. However, if you let me know 24 hours in advance that you will be missing your lesson, I will not charge you for that lesson and take that amount off for the next month.
Practice: For voice students, I ask that you purchase Singing Lessons for Little Singers. For piano students, I ask that you purchase Alfred's Basic Piano Library (I will let you know what "Level" to start with) which you can purchase on amazon.com and please bring it to each lesson, along with a pencil and a notebook to write in. I will give you weekly exercises to work on out of the book. We will together find songs for you to work on. I ask that you practice at least 4 times per week. I would rather have a less talented student that works hard and shows interest than an unmotivated, talented student! For voice students, most accompaniments can be downloaded on iTunes, and if you don’t already have an account, it is easy to find “karaoke version” of songs via the internet (YouTube, etc). Please bring whatever you have downloaded your song to (Phone/iPad, etc) to each lesson so we can use it as our accompaniment.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Anne
